Context Collapse
Historically, grander modes of physical media or prevailing fashion trends acted as a compass, guiding individuals towards societal clusters; we establish in-groups based around shared values or aspirations.
What we are now witnessing is that these contexts compress into increasingly-compact frameworks, culminating in a phenomenon we term as "context collapse". This is driving our monoculture to implode, threatening how we contextualize the world through subculture and counter-cultural movements.
What's clear is this: shopping no longer happens in a controlled environment. Shopping happens wherever you happen to be.
